Yiddish.Berlin Reads Stencl
This film documents a mixed program of and about Avrom Nokhem Stencl in Berlin 2023, as the collective Yiddish.Berlin presents some of its first impressions of Stencl’s Berlin period. During this live event the group read some of Stencl’s poetry in English, Yiddish and German, along with some new translations, anecdotes from his life, and Rachel Lichtenstein read from her writing in progress on Stencl. Samples from Lichtenstein’s artwork on Stencl can be seen on the wall.
